Running league night

League night is self-serve from the lane’s control page — no laptop, no back office.

Playing an official match

  1. Open Events → Leagues on the tablet. Anyone can browse fixtures, standings and the bracket — no PIN needed to look.
  2. Pick the matchup that’s up next. You’ll see the teams or players, the game, and the match number in the series.
  3. Press Play on this lane and enter the season’s Operator PIN.
  4. The lane claims the matchup — every other lane instantly sees it’s taken, so the same match can’t start twice.
  5. For team fixtures, pick tonight’s lineup (the roster’s minimums, maximums and approved substitutes are enforced automatically).
  6. Play the game exactly like any other — same scoring, same corrections and undo.
  7. When it ends, the winner screen shows Submit League Match. One press files the official result, updates standings, and advances the bracket if it was a playoff.

Practical notes

  • If players wander off before pressing submit, the finished match is kept safe — the leagues area shows Complete — awaiting submission until someone presses the button. Nothing can overwrite it, not even a reboot.
  • If the internet is down, everything above still works. Results queue on the lane and sync to the portal when the connection returns.
  • A claimed-by-mistake fixture can be released from the same screen before the game starts.
  • Forfeits and no-shows are recorded from the tablet (with a confirmation step) or by a manager in the Fleet portal.
